Every year we hold a special gardening day where we invite families to join us to tidy, plant, and care for the nursery garden with the children. We are supported in this venture by the local garden centre who provide bulbs, plants, compost and resources as well as valuable advice.
Our parents, grandparents and other family members join children and staff; families bring plants, shrubs and bulbs to plant with their children in the nursery garden. They can then care for these and enjoy watching them grow. In return for all of this hard work staff and children make cakes and scones for the adults to enjoy at snack time. The support for this event from both parents and extended family is tremendous.
