I am a co-opted governor at Rosemary Lane Nursery and part of the Teaching and Learning Committee . Both my (now adult) children attended the nursery, I became a governor when my grandson started as being semi retired meant I was able to offer my support to this amazing Nursery. I have worked in the Early Years Sector since I qualified as a Nursery Nurse in 1978 and have had various jobs over the years, firstly as a practitioner and manager in social services nurseries. I was also a Local Authority and OFSTED Inspector before moving to Sure Start. I currently work part time at Sunderland College delivering the Early Years Educator Apprenticeship Programme. While I am fairly new to the Governors role I am looking forward to supporting the Staff Team who work so hard to ensure all of the children have a positive experience as they begin their education journey.
