“Being in school is important to your child’s academic achievement, wellbeing, and wider development. There is evidence to suggest that regular school attendance is a key mechanism to support children and young people’s educational, economic and social outcomes. Schools can facilitate positive peer relationships, which is a contributes to better mental health and wellbeing.”

If your child is unwell or unable to come to nursery, you must telephone to let us know. If your child does not arrive for nursery and you do not let us know why they are off we will contact you.
You might find the following guidance, ‘Is my child too ill for school?‘ from the NHS useful in deciding if your child is well enough to attend nursery.
If your child is unwell and you are unsure about how long to keep your child off then refer to the Public Health England guidelines on exclusion periods.
Punctuality
Punctuality at nursery is crucial for creating a structured and supportive environment for young children. Unlike a daycare, where flexibility might be more common, our nursery school operates on a set schedule that helps children develop a sense of routine. Arriving on time ensures that each child can fully engage in learning. Consistent attendance during designated hours also helps us to maintain a smooth flow of the day, allowing staff to focus on providing the best possible experience for the children in our care.
